Muncie Community Schools takeover

Two years ago, Muncie Community Schools was on the brink of financial collapse. In 2018, Muncie Community Schools received a D grade from the Indiana Department of Education. and was placed under an emergency order from the state when Ball State University and a handful of legislators crafted a controversial plan to step in, setting the stage for a new kind of public school system.

SWIMMING AND DIVING

Men’s Swimming and Diving set school records, place 4th at MAC Championship

Ball State Men’s Swimming and diving competed in the Mid-American Conference Championship meet this weekend. This was the final event of the season for the Cardinals, and they finished the season by setting six new school records and placing fourth out of five teams.

Cardinal defense slows high scoring Central Michigan to win on Senior Night

With emotions running high as the Ball State honored its seniors, the Cardinals held a Chippewas team, that was averaging nearly 80 points per game, to less than 70 points in an 85-68 win.

Ball State Women’s Tennis extends win streak to 5 against Oakland

Ball State Womens Tennis (6-1, 0-0 MAC) took to the court looking to extend a four-match win streak against Oakland (3-2, 0-0 Horizon League) Sunday. Carrying their momentum forward, the Cardinals snapped the Golden Grizzlies' three-match win streak in a 7-0 win.

Ball State Softball goes 3-2 in weekend trip to Florida
