Whether for luck or convenience, Ball State students have some long-held traditions.
Nestled between the Pet and Garden Center and Family Dollar on Walnut Street, a small thrift shop makes repurposing its business.
For four days at the Indiana State Fair, rabbit breeders, novice pet owners and parents descend on the Poultry and Rabbit Building to showcase a year’s worth of preparation. Most people entering the barn immediately see the action table, where 4-H members volunteer to answer questions and let visitors pet their rabbits and baby ducks.
Dressing up Frog Baby and building snowmen are typical Ball State student antics when snow hits the campus, but some students got creative with their winter games.
While most students will be traveling home to their families, students in Ball State’s chapter of Global Brigades, a student-led global health organization, are voyaging to Panama on Dec. 14 to participate in a humanitarian project for a week. “We are all inspired to go out there and learn something new and different,” said Aisté Manfredini, president of Ball State’s Global Brigades.
