“We really are desperate for people who are interested, so if people have ever thought about being a foster parent, now is really the time that we need you. There’s a lot of children being placed and then removed from foster home to foster home and they need those services right now,” said Heath.
“I think not only do we need to look at culture, but also just the industry … and people as a whole and how can we help people feel beautiful,” Robinson said.
“I left a union job at a glass factory to come do this. One, because I love cooking and two, because I’ve got total faith in both these guys,” Harvey said.
“Most of us will get chairs, use two chairs, put our heads on the table. We typically don’t sleep until like 3 a.m. because it’s high energy,” Martin said.
“This is trying to get rid of what we call the Ball State bounce… it’s very likely if you have that question, we would be able to answer it with the cross-training team,” said Pavlik.
Phase one of renovations includes landscaping, obtaining draining systems for the splash pad and upgrading parking.
The Ready Readers Program is looking at expanding outside of the Muncie Area. Lehman said they are trying to spread to Illinois, and then eventually more of the Midwest. She hopes to one day take it national.
The revitalization plan involves five new sites being added to the Village. The university expects to add a performing arts center, hotel, dining and retail services.
“Women’s Week has strived to kind of create feminist programming on campus and help cultivate feminist community, so I think that that’s something that has stayed the same pretty much forever,” Kiel said.
Both newly elected members are excited for the upcoming term.
