Ball State (19-4) notched win number 13 in a row against Bowling Green (11-11, 5-6 MAC) with a 71-51 win and set a new program record for the best start to the Mid-American Conference regular season (11-0).
Senior Alex Richard sparked a dominant run out of the half for Ball State (18-4, 10-0 MAC) that ended in a 61-51 win over Western Michigan (8-12, 5-5 MAC).
The Cardinals made 12 3-pointers in the first half, putting up 53 points after the first two frames. Ball State (17-4, 9-0 MAC) kept its lead and defeated the Bobcats (4-15, 2-7 MAC) 83-61.
The Cardinals remain undefeated (7-0) in MAC play with the win and are now 15-4 overall after beating Toledo in a nationally televised game.
Ball State women's basketball (14-4, 6-0) defeated Akron (9-9, 3-3) 80-57 to remain unbeaten in the MAC.
