Owner of Two Cats Café wants to bring healthy, new look to Village

Regular season Mid-American Conference soccer champion Ball State lost its first conference tournament game against an the No. 8 seed, Akron.
The Ball State soccer team hasn't lost in over a month. Its seven-game win streak is just one away from the school record set in 2006.
Ball State soccer team is now 5-0 in Mid-American Conference play, which is the program’s best start ever. The Cardinals (9-2-2, 5-0 MAC) beat Kent State 3-0, scoring all three goals in the last 20 minutes of the game.

The Ball State soccer team is now 4-0 in its last four Mid-American Conference openers. Ball State won against Eastern Michigan on Sept. 25, and defeated Bowling Green on Sept. 27 for a 2-0 start in MAC play.
The Ball State soccer team ended non-conference play with a win, and head coach Craig Roberts reached a milestone in the process. Ball State traveled to Morehead State on Sept. 20 and took home a 3-1 victory over the Eagles. Roberts became the second Ball State soccer coach to reach 50 career victories, joining Ron Rainey.
Craig Roberts is in the middle of a season as the head coach of the Ball State soccer team, but he will be coaching elsewhere this week.
The Ball State soccer team tied IU Sept. 13, giving up a late goal in regulation for Indiana to even the score at 1-1. They played two overtime periods before ending in a tie.
In its first ever match against a Southeastern Conference team, Ball State tied LSU 1-1, and impressed head coach Craig Roberts in the process. “I thought we were outstanding,” Roberts said. “Playing a quality SEC team like LSU is always a good challenge, but our girls stood up there in the heat and produced well.”
Bassam Helwani bought the space that was the Locker Room with hopes of making a new restaurant for the under 21 audience with Two Cats Café. Helwani also owns a Mediterranean restaurant, Damask Café. DN PHOTO DAN HAUGHN
