It's been six months since a major industrial fire in Richmond pushed a huge plume of smoke over the city, but now, cleanup crews from the Environmental Protection Agency are ready to pick up the pieces in early November.
Almost two months after a mass shooting at a block party left one dead and 18 injured, emotions are still high and families continue to look for answers.
In the first public forum between two candidates running for the office of Muncie mayor, multiple topics were at the forefront concerning the future of the city.
Tragedy after tragedy, people often are left wondering if this has anything to do with mental health.
In a statement, city officials say some Muncie firefighters are under scrutiny over personal conduct that “occurred without the knowledge or permission of the Muncie Fire Department or the city of Muncie.”
“In order to do that [Wells Fargo] can't sell it,” Muncie Mayor Dan Ridenour said.. “If the bank had somebody walk in and say, ‘We want to pay $15 million for the mall,’ they can't sell it because they don't own it.”
In an email sent out to some Ball State students, it details how requirements for substituting in Indiana are at a level where any student with any major attending Ball State is eligible.
The inauguration for Gassensmith and Lindstrand for their term will be April 19 at 3:15 p.m. in Cardinal Hall in the Student Center.
“We have worked hard to make this work,” said Ridenour. “It’s taking lots that we own that are not generating taxes and we’ll put homes on them, and we’re really excited about that investment into our neighborhoods that are so important to us.”
