Ball State athletes, coaches react to season cancellations

On March 12, the Mid-American Conference made the announcement it would be canceling regular season, championship and non-traditional competition for the rest of the 2019-20 academic school year in concern with the coronavirus (COVID-19). Here is how Ball State athletes and coaches reacted to the announcement.

Reardon's efforts lead Ball State in sweep of Quincy

It’s been a successful Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association road trip so far for senior outside attacker Blake Reardon. Leading Ball State Men’s Volleyball with 15 kills, the Cardinals swept Quincy Saturday, bouncing back from a four-set loss to Lindenwood Friday.

Ball State's 5-match win streak snapped by No. 6 Lewis

Senior outside attacker Blake Reardon’s effort in the third and fourth sets Saturday was not enough to get the job done for Ball State Men’s Volleyball. Dropping their first match at Worthen Arena this season, the Cardinals’ five-match win streak came to an end against No. 6 Lewis in a 3-1 loss.

Jenness leads Ball State in comeback win over McKendree

Public-address announcer Steve Shondell continuously used his nickname of sophomore outside attacker Kaleb Jenness Thursday night in Worthen Arena. With a team-leading 21 kills, Jenness led Ball State Men’s Volleyball to a 3-1 victory over McKendree in its Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association opener.
