After 90 minutes of regulation play and 20 minutes of overtime, penalties would decided the game. In the end, Bowling Green defeated Ball State, 1-1 (5-4 on penalties).
This was the final Smash Direct before the release of the highly anticipated game on December 7 and Director Masahiro Sakurai himself had plenty new information to tide fans over until the game’s release. Ball State Women’s Volleyball (19-8, 10-4 MAC) fell for the second straight night Saturday, this time on the road against Eastern Michigan (16-12, MAC 8-6).
Ball State Women’s Swim and Dive fell 176-121 to defending Mid-American Conference champion Akron Saturday. Four events that stood out for the Cardinals were the 100 backstroke, 50 butterfly and the one- and three-meter dive.
It was a tough night for Ball State (19-7, 10-3 MAC) as it lost to Central Michigan (6-19, 3-10 MAC) 3-0, snapping another Cardinal three-game win streak.
Ball State Men’s Basketball opened up its 2018-19 season taking on UIndy in a exhibition matchup. After a closer first quarter, in the Cardinals were able to pull away in the second half for a 92-76 win.
Behind 25 first-place finishes, the Ball State Men’s and Women’s Swim and Dive teams defeated Eastern Illinois Friday.
