Ball State women’s tennis (3-2) secured a road win over Cleveland State (5-3) on Friday, bouncing back from a tough loss at home to James Madison last week.
Ball State Men’s Tennis (3-2) ended a two-match losing streak on Friday, defeating Butler (5-5) 5-2 in what turned out to be an incredible back-and-forth match.
After a stint at the University of Missouri, redshirt junior Jarron Coleman wants to help Ball State Men's Basketball make its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2000.
“When the kids go off the mat and they have that feeling of wow, we did a really good job and they’re so excited, that’s the best part and that’s what we kept talking about,” Richards said.
Ball State Men’s Volleyball suffers five set loss (22-25, 25-19, 23-25, 25-20,16-18) to Lewis in its first Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) game of the season.
“We have a lot of talent this year which is really exciting. It is going to be about putting people in the places they need to be and having them play at the level they should,” Koch said.
On Feb. 4 against Kent State, Ball State Women’s Basketball had 29 points in only 10 minutes, or you can say one quarter. On Feb. 8 against Eastern Michigan, Ball State Women’s Basketball had 28 points in 20 minutes, or you can say one half.
“It means a lot to get this recognition, for the hard work that I put in,” Klein said. “I’m looking forward to using this season to prove them right.”
The Ball State Women’s Golf team place eighth out of 12 teams, shooting an 898 total through three rounds at the Falcon Flordia Classic. The Ball State’s five-person lineup consisted of junior Kiah Parrott, freshman Sarah Gallagher, freshman Jasmine Driscoll, freshman Madelin Boyd and graduate student Peyton Broce.
This is a special season. Ball State (17-7, 8-3 MAC) now has its best record since 1998 and is showing no signs of slowing down. Tonight, the Cardinals traveled to Mount Pleasant, Michigan to take on Central Michigan (8-16, 3-8 MAC) and left with a win. At the beginning of the game, the Chippewas came out shooting hot and playing good defense. At first, the Cardinals didn’t adapt.
The Cardinals traveled down to Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club in Dade City, Florida. The five-person roster consisted of graduate student Joey Ranieri, sophomore Kash Bellar, redshirt sophomore Griffin Hare, redshirt sophomore Ali Khan, freshman Carter Smith and sophomore Colin Nasser.

Pasta, white uniforms, MLB Players and autographs helped kick off the 2023 Ball State Baseball season. Youth baseball players, Ball State Alumni and Muncie locals showed up with Ball State Baseball in attendance as head coach Rich Maloney and current Washington National Alex Call spoke about the upcoming season.
Thursday, No. 11 Brigham Young University (BYU) marched into Worthen Arena and defeated No. 8 Ball State Men’s Volleyball in four sets, after dropping the first set. Saturday, in a twist, the Cardinals defeated the Cougars in four sets, after dropping the first set.
Ball State Women's Basketball (19-4, 8-1 MAC) defeated Kent State (14-7, 6-4 MAC) 80-71 in its continuous pursuit towards the No. 1 seed in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The Cardinals return to action Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. against Eastern Michigan (12-9, 4-6 MAC) in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

The Cardinals (16-7, 7-3 MAC), enjoying their best start since 2000, defeated the Eastern Michigan Eagles (6-17, 3-7 MAC) in what was a tightly contested contest that needed an extra five minutes to decide a winner. This game, broadcasted on CBS Sports, was a close one from the very beginning with Ball State trailing by three going into halftime. Head Coach Michael Lewis applauded his team for a better, more complete second half.
