Ball State defeats Miami 3-2 in MAC opener

Ball State opened their third home match of the season with defensive pressure against the Redhawks. That allowed senior forward Avery Fenchel to give the Cardinals the lead with a goal in the 11th minute. With the score from Klauss, the Cardinals took their first MAC win, defeating Miami (OH) 3-1.

Women’s Golf wins second annual Brittany Kelly Classic

The Ball State hosted event gets its name from the former Ball State alum Brittany Kelly who was a standout golfer for the Cardinals, a PGA professional, and a member of the U.S. Women’s PGA Cup Team in 2019. Brittany passed away in 2021 from ovarian cancer, but her memory still lives on in the hearts of the competitors who won the competition in her honor two years later.

Wapahani's Wells gets a win over her former team

Wells traded in the black and gold for a black and red when she became Wapahani’s head coach during the offseason. Tonight's 3-2 Middle-eastern Conference win over Daleville was her first time back in the familiar gym.

CARTER: Takeaways from Colts’ 31-20 win over Texans

I grew up in a family that rooted for the Colts after they packed up and fled Baltimore in the middle of the night in 1984 and moved to a city that was ruled by auto racing and basketball. But after drafting some guy named Peyton Manning and having some success, the Colts are now one of the staples of Indiana’s capital.
