A practical decision: Miryne Thomas discusses the impacts his transition from boxing to basketball had on his life

  Thomas, currently a redshirt junior forward for Ball State Men’s Basketball, fell in love with boxing when he was 8 or 9 years old. It all started in his hometown of Cleveland. Not only did he win Cleveland Boys & Girls Man of the Year, but that same community helped him discover boxing, which became a new hobby and eventual lifestyle.

Huntley dedicates success against Eastern Michigan to his son

 Ball State Football (1-1 MAC) beat Eastern Michigan (0-2 MAC) 38-31, and Huntley ran for 204 yards and three rushing touchdowns. This is his sixth straight 100-yard plus game. He has also run for over 100 yards in nine of his last 10 games while scoring 12 touchdowns in his last six. He believes these performances can influence his son in years to come.

Optimism remains for Ball State Football despite loss to RedHawks

 The Cardinals were tied up with the RedHawks at 31 points. Ball State had the ball on its 27-yard line with 42 seconds left in the game, and they were sniffing victory. Redshirt freshman kicker Jack Knight had just hit a 47-yard field goal to tie the game, and head coach Mike Neu said he was oozing with confidence. All they had to do was get into field goal range.
