On 'A Productive Cough,' Titus Andronicus takes a narrower, more personalized approach to their Springsteen-inspired punk sound. It’s not as raucous as usual and it won’t have the same broad appeal as 'The Monitor' or 'The Airing of Grievances,' but it’s more fun than either of those albums and keeps many of their essential qualities. For those just seeking a good rallying anthem or a wayward ballad, this album is sure to impress.

But still, I feel it is also important to address that we view films through the lens of the filmmaker. What does that mean exactly? In this case, Olympia may not exactly be propaganda, but it does carry a piece of Riefenstahl in it. So we can't completely separate the art from the author; this is impossible because we are viewing the film through the lens of the director.
Recently I talked about Leni Riefenstahl’s Triumph of the Will, and no, we still aren’t done with her yet. This time we are going to look at her less controversial and infinitely more interesting film: Olympia.

Director Johannes Roberts seems to get lost in an aesthetic that only works about half the time, but makes up for it with compelling characters. While it loses the excitement and innovation that its predecessor 'The Strangers' has, it still manages to be an enjoyable watch.

When the voice in the Adele song is lowered, it sounds just like Sam Smith. Then, when the pitch of the Sam Smith song is raised, it sounds just like Adele.
'Into the Breach' is an amazing strategy game that manages to use its small scale to great effect. The missions are fast-paced, but the twist on the typical strategy game objectives means that a whole new world of completing missions is opened up. The music and aesthetic are appropriately fantastic for Subset Games and improves upon their previous work. And while long gaming sessions can be a detriment to the game’s quality, in short bursts this game is an amazing experience. Finally, the game creates a whole new world of empathy that I never expected from a game like this. For the price, it’s definitely worth the hours upon hours that can be dumped into this game.
'Annihilation' is a surreal yet excellent experience, with its strengths being excellent performances by the cast, beautiful visuals, and unnerving atmosphere. However, it is also not a movie for the average moviegoer and requires another viewing to get a better understanding of it. All in all, it is another success for Alex Garland.

The world’s largest ball of paint lies in the middle of the country, in Alexandria, IN, which is about a 30-minute drive from Ball State University. It’s a sight that I probably would’ve missed if I wasn’t looking for it.
Change requires action. Action can be perceived as many different things, from simply just discussing a topic with friends to writing to government officials.
If more people watch and learn from it, more people may be able to identify media that may have questionable motives. Leni Riefenstahl may be a great filmmaker, but that does not automatically excuse her poor morals in making the film.
