Distribution of tickets for David Letterman and Oprah event delayed

Due to “anticipated demand” for Dave + Oprah, the university announced Wednesday that tickets would not be available Nov. 7 like originally announced. According to a university release, the distribution of tickets has been delayed until the weekend of Nov. 10 and 11. Students may pick up to two tickets between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Nov. 10 at the John R. Emens Auditorium Box Office. Students must have their student IDs and an additional student ID for a second ticket — all student tickets must have a student ID at the event. University alumnus David Letterman and media icon Oprah Winfrey will visit Ball State on Nov. 26. Tickets for the event were originally slated to be distributed to students at 9 a.m. Nov. 7 at the box office. The university delayed distribution to ensure that tickets would be obtained without disruption to class schedules. Faculty and staff may pick up tickets from 1-3 p.m. Nov. 11. Members of the public can pick up tickets while supplies last, starting at 9 a.m. Nov. 12. There is no cost for admission. Pruis Hall will telecast the Nov. 26 event live. The box office will distribute general admission tickets for Pruis Hall when Emens tickets are gone.
