Chairperson Emeritus dies

On Thursday, the university sent out an email informing students that David Ober, former chairperson emeritus, died Wednesday.

Muncie man who murdered Ball State student has appeal denied

It’s been nearly 23 years since Ball State student Christopher Coyle was murdered in an alleyway just off of the Ball State campus.  His killer, Larry Newton, had his appeal denied on Thursday after he tried to have his life sentence dismissed, according to court documents.
