The Ball State gymnastics team will travel to the Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Friday where they will compete against Iowa. They were defeated in their previous meet against Florida. The loss did little to derail the team’s confidence.
Ball State Gymnastics suffers loss in season opener
Ball State gymnastics opened its season on the road against No. 3 Florida on Friday.

Monday brought welcome news for Ball State gymnastics. Junior Nicole Allen and senior Julie Cotter were both awarded Mid-American Conference honors and the chance to advance as individuals into post-season competition.
The competition was too tough for the Ball State gymnastics team to handle this weekend. It came in last at the Mid-American Conference Championship hosted by Northern Illinois.
The Cardinals head into Saturday with a record of 4-8 overall and 2-4 in the MAC.
Senior night ended in with a less than perfect outcome for Ball State gymnastics. The team could not send the seniors away with a last win at home.
After a less than perfect showing last weekend at Kentucky, the Ball State gymnastics team comes home this week to wrap up its regular season.
Ball State gymnastics went to Lexington, Ky., for a three-team meet and left with a second-place finish. The host Kentucky won the event while Ball State defeated George Washington.
Spring Break has started off on the right foot for Ball State gymnastics. The team defeated Bowling Green University Friday evening at Irving Gym, 194.025-193.900.
While many Ball State students head out of Muncie for Spring Break, the Ball State gymnastics team will welcome the Falcons of Bowling Green State University for competition in Irving Gym today at 7 p.m.
Even with victories by junior Nicole Allen in the all-around competition both Friday and Sunday, the Ball State gymnastics team wasn't able to secure wins in its two meets this weekend.
With a win over Eastern Michigan at home last weekend, the Ball State gymnastics team is preparing to travel to two other Michigan cities to compete this weekend.
