'The House' by Porches falls short in so many ways. From the invasion into the synth-pop world to the horribly unfitting vocals, virtually everything on this album is a disappointment. With luck though, Aaron Maine and co. will learn from this colossal waste of time and build something with greater depth and refinement in the future.
Post Traumatic is not a bad EP for what it is. It isn’t supposed to be some debut record, nor is it supposed to be the start of a new brand. Its only purpose is to try and give Shinoda, as well as the fans, some form of closure. While instrumentally it can be lacking in the beginning, lyrically it’s outstanding and doesn’t hold back from being honest and personal.
We’re back with a brand new season of Remixed! On this episode, we talk about some recent dub step goodness, disappointment in Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift, as well as the return of Black Eyed Peas and Enrique Iglesias.
“Manhunt” provides information that helps us to better understand the characters of 'The Assassination of Gianni Versace'. There are secrets and lies between the family members and the press, and the setting for the episode shows a good representation of the late '90s. Andrew’s motives remain unclear because of his constant lying but this keeps the viewers wanting more. This episode is as entertaining as the first and fairly represents the Versace family and their struggles.
But there is so much more to Arthur than meme-ability. While that certainly adds to the show’s appeal, there’s much within the content of the show itself that we all should stop and appreciate for a moment.
We’re back witches! This week on The Coven we are discussing the world of cringe. What is cringe? Why do we cringe? Is the consumption of cringe compilations considered bullying? All of these topics will be discussed on this week’s episode along with much more!
The first week of the spring split is always an explosive one. New teams have entered and are battling it out with the former kings.
Though the first episode of ‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction’ will please those who desperately miss the sound of Obama’s voice, the episode doesn’t have much substance apart from the people involved. Letterman and Obama have a likable dynamic that makes it fun to watch at surface level, but the interview lacks a level of importance that could have really made Obama’s reappearance into something noteworthy.
The first episode of 'The Assassination of Gianni Versace' stays true to the facts and original story. The characters were cast well and the dialogue was just as good. The story of the show sticks out and prevents it from getting lost in the crowd of other TV shows. The episode was well-written to provide justice for the victims affected by the tragedy, but also provides knowledge for those who are unfamiliar with the assassination of Gianni Versace. The show provides a personality that you couldn't just get from reading a book about Versace and explains more in-depth how his company continued to thrive after his death. It also provides a closer look at how this tragedy affected the victims personally.
Logan didn’t take much of a hit from posting this video, and in the long run, this may have even benefitted his career and brought more people to his content. Meanwhile, other creators who have covered this story are still being hit with demonetization. Which brings us to yesterday, when Logan Paul returned to YouTube.
The debate around gaming’s health benefits and adverse effects is again taking center stage with the World Health Organization’s (WHO) recent proposal to add “Gaming Disorder” to its list of diseases.
Another year means another season of the North American League Championship Series (NA LCS) is upon us. A number of huge changes were made since the last summer split, but I’m only going to talk about the most important ones here: franchising and format shifts.
Nintendo Labo is a series of cardboard with pre-cutouts that you follow instructions to put together into a fishing pole or a piano or a robot backpack.
On their previous two albums, Frankie Cosmos painted amateur musical portraits of youthful urban life, but there was always the tiniest bit of predictability. “Jesse” could be the entryway to a new, more in-depth world of musicality for the group. The song’s structure and Kline’s vocals have helped the outfit paint with more elaborate colors and textures than we’ve heard from them before.
It’s confusing that these audiences will accept Ewoks and Mon Calamari from distant planets, but it is somehow a leftist stretch for the film to feature people with Asian-coded features or characters who are black like Finn. We’re running around with lightsabers and droids, but this diverse casting for our favorite science fiction fantasy is just too unrealistic.
In the wake of the new year, Logan Paul has recently had his YouTube Red series put on hold and was removed from Google’s preferred advertisement program as a result of public backlash over a video that featured an apparent suicide victim in Japan. The video has resulted in a massive online controversy over the past two weeks sparking debate over the ethics of showing a suicide victim on camera. Many YouTube creators have joined in the outrage, taking to social media and making their own videos directed at Logan Paul.
James Franco, star of movies such as The Disaster Artist and This is the End, was the subject of controversy after his Golden Globe win this past week. During his time at the event, Franco was seen wearing a #timesup button... That same night, multiple women spoke out against Franco over Twitter.
It seems there’s no middle ground for opinions on this film; you either love it and all of its weirdness or hate it and Rian Johnson for destroying everything you love.
