The game against the Zips (9-16, 4-10 MAC) was dedicated to the people of Westminster Village, a non-profit retirement community in Muncie. Several people from Westminster showed up and claimed a corner in the arena, hanging a poster of support for the Cardinals. With the group in attendance, the Cardinals bounced back from a loss against the Toledo Rockets and came away with a 75-51 win over Akron.

Finishing the round with a score of 272 as a team, Ball State finished with its lowest scoring round since the 2005 Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational. Totaling 16 strokes under par, the Cardinals closed the competition with their best round ever, commensurate with an event’s total par count.

Rogers finished first overall in the event taking home the MAC championship in the pentathlon. She came in first in the 60m hurdles, shot put and long jump. She also placed fourth in the high Jump.
