Indiana animal cruelty laws vague as temperatures continue to drop

Winter has ripped through the Mid-west in the form of wind chills and inches of snow, which has lead to record-setting temperatures in Indianapolis. The weather has even been blamed for nine deaths this past week. Now, many states are passing stronger laws to ensure that furry friends are protected.

Muncie Police investigating reports of shots fired on Beechwood Avenue

Muncie Police are continuing to investigate this morning after an overnight shooting just east of the Ball State campus. Muncie Police Department, University Police Department, Indiana State Police, Muncie Fire Department and Delaware County EMS were dispatched to the 800 block of Beechwood Ave. just before midnight on reports of shots fired.

Final exam testing lab appears in unlikely place

Rolling out of bed. Walking downstairs. And taking a final exam. Sounds crazy, but now students may be able to take their final exams in their pajamas. That is because Ball State University Technology Support has added an additional testing lab at Botsford/Swinford Residence Hall for finals week.
