September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC), there were 49,449 deaths by suicide in 2022. In 2021, there were 1.7 million suicide attempts reported by the CDC. The National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention (NAASP) and the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline suggest five steps to help support those considering suicide.
Almost two months after a mass shooting at a block party left one dead and 18 injured, emotions are still high and families continue to look for answers.
Justin E. Bonner was arrested in connection to the shooting that occurred at a party at E. Willard St. and S. Hackley St. on July 30 according to a press release from Muncie Police Department.

The Minnetrista Farmers Market is a way to bring about local community and provide small businesses steady income. The next farmers market is scheduled for Apr. 15 from 9 a.m. to Noon inside Minnetrista. The outdoor markets will begin May 6 at the same time every week.
