Indiana Special Olympics continued its 2020 philanthropic season, stopping at Ball State Saturday for the annual campus Polar Plunge. Jumpers were greeted by sunny skies and decent weather, but chilly water straight from the fire hydrants made sure the day would still be “polar”.
The Jo Ann Gora Student Recreation and Wellness Center is one of the landmarks of the campus. According to the Ball State website, this center was built in 2010. Gora was the fourteenth president of Ball State University from 2004 to 2014.
On Wednesday, Ball State held the Spring Cardinal Job Fair in Worthen Arena. In this Job Fair, there were more than 175 employers from different industries and over 20 graduate programs.

2006 Ball State Graduate Holly Allen and her family moved to Suzhou, China this past November for her husband’s job. Little did they know that they would have to flee within just a few short months.
The Ball State Career Center hosts a large career job fair each semester. They invite employers to actively recruit Ball State students for full-time work, internships, part-time work, and more. Many students from different professions come to this job fair to consult their favorite job. There are about 300 employers and a total of about 2,000 jobs, including full-time, internship and part-time. There are also many types of occupations, including financial, business management, accounting, etc.

As the old saying goes, you either sink or swim. And this is exactly the case for an old intramural game that Ball State’s Recreation Services is trying to resurrect. The name of the game is Battleship which is usually played by trying to sink your opponents.
