Entrepreneurial direction affects proposed funding

Before President Paul Ferguson’s State of the University Address, in which he spoke of Ball State as an “entrepreneurial” university, the Indiana state government had already been recognizing the university with an item of funding called “entrepreneurial college.” In 2007, the Statehouse gave Ball State the extra allocation directed to “entrepreneurial college,” for $1 million.

Student Government Association elects president pro tempore

The Student Government Association elected Rachel Johnson, a junior social work major, as president pro tempore. “This means I get to do a job that I love, and I get to work with people who I think are fantastic,” she said. “I get to represent students who are some of the greatest students on campus.”

Founder of Papa Johns to speak at Spring Commencement

The founder of Papa Johns, and 1983 Ball State alumn, is set to speak at the 2015 Spring Commencement, according to the university. John Schnatter, a Jeffersonville native, majored in business administration at Ball State and was inducted into the Miller Business College Hall of Fame in 2004.
