The University Police Department is a familiar sight on Ball State's campus. They patrol the square around campus — from Wheeling Avenue to Tillotson Avenue to White River Boulevard to McGalliard Road.

Active Minds is working to make finals week a little less stressful for students. From December 7 to 11, Active Minds is hosting their second annual Stress Less Week, an awareness campaign where students can participate in stress relief activities to relieve anxiety about final exams and the end of the semester. The theme of Stress Less Week is “Laugh More.” The campaign highlights the social and emotional benefits of laughter and how to incorporate more laughter into daily life.
As of the 2015-2016 school year, Ball State is no longer charging students for graduating outside of the preferred four-year window.
