In Ball State's first home Mid-American Conference game of the season, the Cardinals fell to Miami 80-72.
Wapahani senior boys’ basketball player Nate Luce was voted the Delaware County Athlete of the Week for the week of Monday, Dec. 23 to Saturday, Dec. 28.
In Ball State's first game of 2025 and Mid-American Conference play, the Cardinals defeated Kent State 75-67 on the road.
Head coach Brady Sallee said the Cardinals (10-4, 2-0 MAC) stunk in the 72-61 win over Mid-American Conference (MAC) foe Central Michigan (4-9, 0-2 MAC). Regardless of another win on the season, Sallee saw the Chippewas compete harder.
Ball State (9-4) defeated the Miami (OH) (7-4, 0-1 MAC) 68-55 to start the MAC season 1-0.
Though the Cardinals defeated Anderson 89-76, Ball State head coach Michael Lewis said the team is still fighting internal struggles.

Delta junior boys’ basketball player Lucas Bragg was voted the Delaware County Athlete of the Week from Monday, Dec. 16 to Saturday, Dec. 21

Delta junior Lucas Brag led with 16 points as the Eagles defeated the Muncie Central Bearcats 49-46.
Senior center Payton Sparks led with 20 points as Ball State downed Evansville 80-43.
Junior Camden Bell led with 24 points as Wapahani defeated Wes-Del 74-35 to remain undefeated on the season.
The Cardinals broke a 49-year-old program record after defeating Anderson 112-35.
After five games in the 2024 Fieldhouse Classic, five teams including one Delaware County school left the Muncie Central Fieldhouse in the win column.
Delta junior Jordan Furney led with 19 points as the Eagles defeated Yorktown 53-45.
