Mississinewa continues to dominate as they become back-to-back Conference Champs

The Mississinewa Indians faced against Madison Grant High School, a game filled with action.

GRANT COUNTRY, Ind. — The Mississinewa Indians faced off against Madison Grant High School on Friday night in an exciting game. Both teams entered the match undefeated at 8-0. The game was filled with action, featuring multiple turnovers that allowed both teams to score quickly.

For the first time this season, the Indians fell behind, as Madison Grant led 14-7 in the second quarter. However, the Mississinewa team responded well, showing the strength coach Kyle Buresh knew they had.

“It was huge for us to be tested like this, especially with some players going out,” Buresh said. “We had to rely on different guys in the game, and it was great to face that challenge in week 9.”

Even though Madison Grant tried to make a comeback, the Indians won with a final score of 26-22.

After the game, coach Buresh was proud of his team's determination.

“I’m really proud of our fight and grit tonight, especially with a conference championship on the line,” he said. “It took everyone’s effort.”

With this victory, the Mississinewa Indians secured back-to-back conference championships, finishing the regular season undefeated for the second year. As the playoffs approach, keep an eye on the Indians—they're ready to make a strong run.
