MUNCIE, INDIANA --- The Ned and Gloria Griner Gallery is showing the 88th annual student art show. The School of Art’s annual art exhibit displays the artwork created by students during the past year. Different forms of art are featured like photography, ceramics, painting and drawing.
The exhibit helps give students the chance to participate in the professional exhibition. A qualified juror selects the artwork shown in the exhibit and provides artistic awards of distinction. According to the Ball State University Libraries, “Students applied to be in the exhibition online to give permission to Ball State to deposit their artwork into the university libraries and/or digital repository.”
Ken Preston, Supervisor of the Art Gallery, worked with students to put up every piece throughout the gallery.
“All medias shown here whether it is 2D or 3D work or intermedia or 4D work, including animation and so forth, as far as the pieces and where they are located and so forth I did the entire installation, I handled every piece myself,” said Ken Preston, Supervisor of the Art Gallery.
The annual student art show will be open until March 16.
