MUNCIE, Ind.(NewsLink) -- A Ball State Student was shot and killed early Saturday morning just off the university's campus.
The shooting happened on West Abbot St. on the northwest side of the campus. Police responded to reports of shots fired around 2:30 A.M.
Vice President of Student Affairs Ro-Anne Royer Engle sent an email to students and faculty this morning infroming them of the death.
She also said university staff plans to support the victim's family and any student that may need it.
The Muncie Police Department and university police are investigating.
No victim or suspect information has been released.
