Today: Scattered spots of drizzle are expected to clear out by the afternoon, and we'll just be left with cloudy skies. Cool temperatures are in store today with the high only reaching 48. Lighter winds will make the gloom a little more bearable.
Tonight: Some clouds will begin to move out temporarily overnight, leaving behind mostly cloudy skies. Once again, cool temperatures will stick with us as the low drops to 39. Winds will begin calm overnight then pick up from the west at 5 mph by morning.
Tomorrow: Some sunshine will be visible during the morning, but then more clouds will come in completely covering the sky by the evening. Expect mostly cloudy skies tomorrow as a result. The high will be a bit warmer at 56 and winds will be fairly light from the southwest at 5 mph.
7-Day: Wednesday night some rain showers will move through the area as a result of a couple different systems. If the rain drifts more to the north, Muncie could see a lot of rainfall. Right now, the heaviest rain reaching the area is looking to be in Henry and Wayne counties. After rain on Thursday, sunshine will become more prevalent, but so will cooler temperatures. Highs will reach from the upper 40s to the low 50s heading into the holiday weekend and next week. If you're looking to have a gathering for Halloween, it is comfortable weather for a bonfire.
