MUNCIE,Ind. (NewsLink) -- After announcing in March his plan on transferring, Ishmael El-Amin will be returning to Ball State for his senior year.
El-Amin announced he’s “Here To Stay” via Twitter on Monday evening.
El-Amin was one of only two players who started and played every single game this last season. El-Amin finished the season shooting 43% from the field and 39% from beyond the arc, which was the highest on the team. El-Amin finished second in total points, steals, and assists. His efforts helped land the team with a final record of 18-13.
In a statement provided by Ball State, El-Amin said, “Ball State is the best place for me.”
He also went on to say, “I am happy here.”
Head coach James Whitford was just as surprised and anyone after hearing the news. Whitford said as El-Amin went through the process of transferring, he developed a deeper appreciation for Ball State.
