MUNCIE, Ind.(NewsLink) - The Ball State Women’s Basketball team has had a strong season so far and Head Coach Brady Sallee chose to acknowledge graduate student guard Jasmin Samz as a leader on the team.
“She is one of those kids that really turns a great team into a good one,” stated Coach Sallee.
Samz credited her leadership skills to the players before her time. She discussed how they had answered all her questions and now she just wants to pass that favor forward.
“I simply try to answer everyone’s questions because I remember the players before me helping me out,” said Samz.
The team is currently 2nd in the MAC West and coming off an 80-63 win against the Miami Redhawks. The win was one of the best offensive games the girls played when it came to sharing and carrying the ball.
The girls are now traveling to Kent State to face the Golden Flashes at 7:00 p.m. on Jan. 29.
