MUNCIE, Ind. (NewsLink) - The Ball State Volleyball team had a very successful weekend, featuring big road wins against Western Michigan and Northern Illinois.
The Cardinals travelled to Kalamazoo, Michigan on Friday, where they faced the Western Michigan Broncos. Ball State handled the Broncos, winning 3-1, led by Risi’s 18 kills.
On Saturday, the Cardinals visited Dekalb, Illinois, where they swept the Northern Illinois Huskies 3-0, led by Risi’s 17 kills.
Three Cardinals received Mac West Weekly Awards following the solid weekend.
Esther Grussing was named co-setter of the week, alongside teammate Amber Seaman. The duo led Ball State to a success rate of .237 in the two matches. Natalie Risi was named offensive player of the week, with 18 kills against the Broncos and 17 kills against the Huskies, leading the team in both outings.
