Coming off of a big fifteen point win over Huntington on last week, the Ball State softball team will host Taylor University on Friday, hoping to stay hot and get another big win.
The team continued practice today, preparing for Taylor and hoping to keep the momentum rolling after their blowout victory.
Ball State currently has three freshmen on the mound, but the coaches have faith in them.
“I think they’ll do a nice job, they’re talented,” said coach Megan Bartlett about her pitchers.
As for the whole team, the coaches are confident in the success they’ll have this season.
Coach Bartlett said, “I think we didn’t miss a beat over the summer, I’m pretty excited about it.”
The confidence for Ball State is high this season, and based on last Friday’s performance, for good reason. Ball State and Taylor will throw out their first pitch on Friday at 5 p.m. at First Merchant’s Ball Park.
