As all the familiarities of the holiday season that appeal to our senses are coming around, from seeing the white snow falling, all the way the to the peppermint flavors we taste, one of the most prominent sounds we hear… the jingle of the bells! The Salvation Army is continuing their Red Kettle Campaign as they ring their bells in order to help out the muncie community during the holiday season. Major Mark Litherland, director of the Salvation Army shares their mission…
“Funds For Financial Assistance, Rent, Utilities, Things Like That, As Well As Our Food Pantry."
With the heart to serve the community and to keep their doors open in the future, Major Litherland calls upon the local community for support so that they may continue their charity.
"Other Than Donating Change, We Can Always Use Volunteer Bell Ringers. And Then Throughout The Year, Additional Food Donations And Volunteers To Help Distribute The Food In Our Food Pantry."
The Salvation Army has dedicated their work to involve the community in their efforts to benefit Muncie and its residents. The warm hearts and spirit of giving within these volunteers is what keeps those bells ringing!
