This past Semester Ball State has switched from traditional parking meters to new digital pay stations. The decision to upgrade the parking meters is to allow customers to have the opportunity to use credit cards along with cash or coin.
There have been three new pay stations added this past summer. One station is in the parking lot next to Lucina Hall and there are two in the lot between the applied technology building and the arts and journalism buildings.
Parking services manager Nick Capozzoli says the pay stations help parking services better track revenue and gather better data to determine how often the lots are being used.
The prices for parking will not be changes this year. As for next school year the prices are currently being reviewed and no decision have been made.
