Thanksgiving Thursday, Black Friday and Small Business Saturday all happen during three consecutive days in November. However, in Muncie, Small Business Saturday happens for three consecutive weeks, including this weekend.
The Holiday One Stop Shop is a Small Business Saturday event that allows people to purchase items from local vendors while they receive holiday deals.
“This is the first time we have done this and we hope to do this multiple times throughout the year,” said Kelli Charles, a representative of A & K Creations. “We figured it would be a good idea to start doing this during the holiday season so people can get their shopping done all in one place.”
The vendors that will be there are A & K Creations, Paparazzi Jewelry, Pink Zebra, Perfectly Posh, Young Living Essential Oils, Usborne Books, Thirty-One, Lipsense and Scentsy.
These vendors have tried to get into larger vendor events such as the Delaware County Fairgrounds, but it has been a challenge because those spots fill up quickly.
“It’s hard trying to secure a vendor spot at the Fairgrounds for an event,” Charles said. “It’s kind of a fight to get in, so we figured, why not just have our own event?”
“You can find a gift to purchase for anyone of any age at the event,” said Anna Arison, a representative from Pink Zebra, a fragrance company.
Vendors will donate some of their items for a raffle. Raffle tickets will be sold at the event and all proceeds will go towards a family in need.
Not all vendors will take credit and debit cards, so bringing cash is highly recommended.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Sugarbush Apartments office, located at 3601 N Chadam Lane.
