The Ball State Student Government hosted a nomination convention for the next president and vice president. Two executive tickets were brought to the table.
“We believe it is important to encourage the creative paths of our artists, we also celebrate the youth who are creative artists in the community,” said Debra Gindhart Dragoo, the event organizer.

Ball State Men’s Tennis (2-1) traveled south to face in-state rival Indiana (4-1) in Bloomington on Sunday, suffering a tough 5-2 defeat. Throughout all of the respective matches, they had opportunities to win, but couldn’t find a way to turn the momentum.
Saturday night at the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) of Muncie, Glinda B. Fierce, a drag queen, along with Muncie OUTreach threw an all-ages drag show. The show was meant to help fundraise for OUTreach and provide an entertaining event for both children and adults.

The Burris Owls have now won their last four games. Their latest victory was this Friday night’s matchup against the Seton Catholic Cardinals. The red-hot Owls defended Ball Gymnasium as they soared past the visitors 48-32. But this win was special for the home team for a few reasons. First, it was homecoming week. Who is Caleb Elliott? Most high schoolers might be asleep at 9 a.m. on a winter Saturday morning. But not Elliott. The senior hops out of bed and gets dressed. He heads to the school he’s been to all week. Elliott, a wide receiver and point guard for the Eagles football and basketball teams, is not going for a practice. Delta runs a program called “The Future Eagles.” It allows elementary kids to play team basketball inside the school’s gym.
