'Bathtubs Over Broadway’ is a funny, endearing, and surprisingly heartfelt look into arguably one of the most niche sub-genres of theatre ever made.
Blake and Matt break down Elon Musk’s latest Twitter feud with Fortnite and the progress on his underground hyperloop tunnels.
‘Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’ is an epic and fun follow up to 'Origins.' While it suffers from a slow start and a dependence on grinding, it excels with fantastic characters, beautiful visuals, and brilliant, redefined gameplay, especially in its combat. It marks another success in the 'Assassin’s Creed' franchise.
‘In Our Wake’ is a disappointing album filled with generic riffs and choruses. Every song sounds the same due to a three-minute slog song structure that creates only a boring listen. If you are looking for more metal music to listen to that changes the genre and pushes the boundaries, then this isn’t it. All this album makes me want to do is go back and listen to their old songs like ‘Becoming the Bull’ and ‘Ravenous’. What Atreyu did with this album just isn’t enough.
'Weed the People' is a well researched documentary that is very well made and heartfelt. All of the children and their families shown in the film perfectly emphasize the film's stance and bring a human component to the controversial subject of legal cannabis. The film succeeds in making a compelling case while also calling viewers to action in a non-manipulative way.
'Dawnland' lacks enough historical context, effective editing, varied interviews, or creativity to be an effective documentary. While the topic is incredibly important and not discussed as openly or often as it should be, the subject matter alone isn't enough to make 'Dawnland' worth watching.
'Eva' is an amazing film for the people unfamiliar with Eva Mozes Kor’s life story. The storytelling is balanced, heartfelt, and the breadth of interviewees is staggering. Though the editing can make the film’s pacing feel a bit slow, this documentary communicates its message with finesse. Eva Kor is an astounding person with an outlook on life that is expertly conveyed through this film about her life.
An origin story about Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre exists. But is it any good?

‘From Normal to Extraordinary: Ball State’s First Century’ was a struggle to sit through and even more of a struggle to evaluate. Despite slick production, excellent music, and strong research, the film suffers from a lack of a strong narrative backbone.
‘When Jeff Tried to Save the World’ is a fascinating character study set against a backdrop of faded neon and gutter-balls. The cinematography and set design is humble, yet charming, and the ensemble cast absolutely knocks it out of the park. Despite being rooted heavily in a nostalgia (of sorts) for the bowling alley of yesteryear, this film couldn’t be more relevant for our generation and the one before it. No matter how many quarters this one eats, Jeff is worth the price to play.
