MUNCIE, Ind – From coffees to frozen lemonades, the Rosebud Coffee House has been serving smiles with every order. Aside from their wide variety of drinks, there is a collection of local art expanding the walls.
The owner of the cafe, Tiara Hicks, explains how she wanted to create a space for all. On top of her business, she had the motivation ot create a community for Muncie. By opening Rosebud, she was also able to support the local artists within the community.
“Ever since I was a little girl I played Business owner,” said Hicks
One thing that Hicks wanted to include in her coffee house was to stick to its originality with mismatched chairs, wheeled tables, bright colors and wooden woven benches. To create a home-like feel, Rosebud Coffee House makes its coffee with its own coffee beans.
“I wanted to create a space that gave a little bit of nostalgia.” Said Hicks
Scott Truex, a customer at Rosebud, describes that he comes regularly to do work or even just to talk to Hicks. He likes that there are private rooms to have meetings and more quiet conversations.
“I’m pretty much a regular, most mornings early, and we have our own little community of folks that come in early. Catch up with all the fun things on the South Side of Muncie,” said Truex
Hicks invites everyone who appreciates art, loves the taste of coffe, or just wants a bite to eat to Rosebud Coffee House.
