MUNCIE, Ind. — The Club Baseball team at Ball State University, which normally flies under the radar during baseball season, is off to a 4-0 record to start off this semester of games.
The Club Baseball team brings everything that the Baseball team brings; the competition, the ups, and downs, but without all the stress of playing Division One baseball.
Jackson Mackenzie, a Freshman at Ball State University, has found a passion within the Club Baseball team.
“You don’t really have to think about, you know, the wake up at 6 a.m. every day grind to compete at a D1 level, but you're still staying active playing baseball with your good friends and teammates,” said Mackenzie
The Club Baseball team has two seasons each year, one each semester. Practices are held two times a week, with games and tournaments on the weekend.
The club is always open to bringing in new players and encourages people who are interested in joining to reach out. President Mason Kasprisin hopes more people will see the achievements and passion of the sport.
“It brings you back to when you were a kid playing ball…it's fun, we are competitive, and we do want to win every single game,” Said Kasprisin
