MUNCIE, Ind. — If you are a fan of goats and root beer floats then you might have been at Phi Delta Theta’s fundraiser: Goats and Floats. For only six dollars members of the community could come to the fraternity's house, enjoy a root beer float and get pictures with goats of their choosing.

This fundraiser was one of Phi Delta Theta’s first goats and floats fundraisers and their goal is to raise funds so that they can plan more philanthropy events in the future. They are also planning something again soon with Prairie Hills Farms.

“We're planning a community service event with Prairie Hills Farms so we're going to go out there either this month or next month and help them on the farm” said fraternity president Zack Johnson.

The event brought the whole community together and for Prairie Hills Farm Co-Owner Sabrina Friend, going out to local events to spread awareness about the positive impacts of their goats is one of her favorite things to do.

“Our goats go out and do targeted brush clearing, so that is their main job, but we do events like this to bring awareness to the job and what the goats do,” Friend continued. “They bring that level of excitement and fun to any event and that's what we love about it”.

This event was fun for many. It left a big mark on the community and had their hearts bleating with joy.
