MUNCIE, Ind. — The Muncie Central athletic program announced in an email Thursday afternoon that head football coach Kyle Padgett is resigning from the position.

In the three seasons Padgett coached the Bearcats, the purple and white went 10-20. The news comes just one day after head basketball coached Justin Ullom resigned from that position.

“The past three years at Muncie Central have been among the best of my life,” Padgett said via the email. “I will be forever grateful for the people I have met and the experiences we have shared. I want to thank my staff, players and parents for all the effort that was put in to build this culture into what it is today. We raised the standard and built a strong foundation for the future.”
