The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a tornado watch to include Delaware, Madison and Randolph Counties in East Central Indiana.
Most of the rest of Central Indiana is already under an earlier issued Tornado Watch,according to NWS. The watch will affect multiple counties across central Indiana, including Delaware County. The watch will be in effect until 8 p.m.
March 29, the NWS Storm Prediction Center declaring all of East Central Indiana under a severe weather watch. The NWS warned "damaging winds" of up to 70 mph.
In the likely event of a tornado warning, those in affected counties are encouraged to seek shelter in a lower interior such as a basement or storm shelter, and stay away from windows, according to the NWS.
