The Ball State women’s basketball team defeated Kent State 70-53 in the semifinals of the Mid-American Confernce tournament to move on to the championship game.
The Cardinals will face Toledo in the championship game with a chance to go to the NCAA Tournament tomorrow at 11 a.m.
Ball State is led by many seniors, and here is a report card on how they played against the Golden Flashes.
Lachelle Austin

Austin’s 21 points is a new season high for her. She was also 8-for-11 from the field and hit two buzzer-beaters to end the half and third quarters.
Ally Becki

Becki was nearing triple-double figures in her performance against Kent and was an efficient 5-for-8 shooting from the field.
Alex Richard

Richard might not have had her most efficient game from the floor, but her ability to score in transition came in big down the stretch to extend the Ball State lead.
Marie Kiefer

Kiefer did not jump off the stat sheet, but she was 4-for-5 from the field in her 33 minutes of action.
Madelyn Bischoff

Bischoff started the game off with a 3-pointer to start scoring and was able to pull away from Kent State with her perimeter shots. The senior was 30 percent from deep.
Maliyah Johnson

Johnson has consistently been the sixth man on the floor for Ball State. Johnson played 16 minutes in the win over Kent State.
