Seniors Ally Becki, Marie Kiefer, Alex Richard and head coach Brady Sallee all bring in Mid-American Conference (MAC) end-of-season awards to the Ball State women’s basketball program.

Senior Ally Becki has been named the MAC Player of the Year, Kiefer the MAC Defensive Player of the Year, and Sallee the MAC Coach of the Year. Richard was named to the All-MAC second team.

Becki also is on the All-MAC first team and All-Defensive team alongside Kiefer on the All-Defensive team.

This is only the sixth time Ball State has had a MAC Player of the Year recipient, following Nathalie Fontaine (2016), Kate Endress (2005), Tamara Bowie (2003 & 2001), and Jenny Eckert (1990).

Becki ranked first in the MAC in season assists, assists per game, assists-to-turnover ratio and field goal percentage. She is also one of seven NCAA women’s college basketball players in history to have scored 1,600 points, 700 rebounds and 700 assists.

Becki is the only player in Division I history to average at least 10 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists in all four seasons of a college career.

Kiefer is the second straight player for Ball State to bring in the MAC Defensive Player of the Year honors. Former Cardinals player Nyla Hampton won the award in 2024.

Kiefer led the MAC in blocks and blocks per game, and this marks the second time she has been named to the All-Defensive team.

Richard’s All-MAC second team comes after a season where she averaged 16.2 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per game. Richard was hurt for around a month of the season but came back to play the MAC regular season, where she has had a 52 percent field goal percentage.

This is the first time Sallee has been named the MAC Coach of the Year. He is the third-winningest coach in MAC history with 159 wins.

Under Sallee, the Cardinals have now had 41 postseason All-MAC selections, two MAC Players of the Year, three Defensive Players of the Year, two Sixth Player of the Year and three MAC Freshmen of the Year. Sallee and the Cardinals also clinched the MAC regular season title for the first time since 2003 this season.
