Nearly 2,000 Muncie residents were without power Feb. 4, according to the Indiana Michigan Power outage map. Estimated restoration is 7 p.m.

Several traffic lights throughout the city stopped working as a result of the outage.

Indiana Michigan Power Communications Consultant Michael Bianski confirmed power was restored around 3:50 p.m.

He said there was "no innocuous cause" for the outages, but the main circuit blew near Wysor Street.

This brief will be updated with more information as it becomes available.
