Meridian Health Pediatrics and Prime-Time Urgent Care host open house

Meridian Health Services unveiled its remodeled building to benefit local children and families.

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Non-Profit Organization, Meridian Health Services, offers various healthcare specialties to its patients.

After an extensive three-phase remodel that began in 2023, the building now showcases a fresh appearance.

Some features add vibrance to a sick children’s experience. However, the new improvements go beyond just a vibrant look.

Its remodel serves beneficial attributes to the doctors by offering spacious exam rooms, cohesive units, a pharmacy located separately from the main building,  enhanced insurance opportunities for families and much more.

"We truly can preach and live the journey of 'whole-person health,' inside and out," said Dr. Lucy Larson, a pediatrician and medical physician. "We can bring it all together in one place—one place to begin your journey—and branch out as needed. That's what Meridian Health Services does really well."

Larson believes the remodel creates a space where the team can better support each other, both emotionally and behaviorally, to foster a more compassionate work environment.

Before 2023, Meridian Health struggled with infection control and safety issues due to compact waiting rooms and combined buildings.

They focused on improving these challenges by including separate waiting rooms for each service.

One practice manager for Meridian Pediatrics and Urgent Care played a pivotal role in the clinic’s remodel.

According to Jodi Simison, several elements were designed for ages zero to 19.

One room is designated for the Prime-Time Urgent Care Clinic, another for  Meridian Health Pediatrics and the last waiting room for a family with an infant that has not yet received immunizations.

The services aren’t restricted to just Meridian Patients, but anyone in the community seeking their services.

There are 57 facilities and offices across Indiana.
