Ball State soccer Head Coach Josh Rife will be leaving the program after six years of leading the team, according to a press release from Ball State Athletics. Rife will head to Indiana University (IU), his alma mater, to coach its women's soccer team.

During his time with the Cardinals, Rife accumulated an overall record of 49-38-22. He led the team to a second-place Mid-American Conference (MAC) finish in his debut season in 2019 and a MAC West Division title and a MAC Championship Game appearance the following season.

This past season was the first time Ball State did not make an appearance in the MAC tournament since 2021.
