Delaware County High School weekly results from the week of 1/6 - 1/11

Monday (Jan. 6)

No results could be found.

Tuesday (Jan. 7)

Yorktown girls basketball hosted Muncie Central in a home contest. The Tigers would come out on top in the matchup 56-42. Yorktown was led by junior Lily Sylvester with 19 points.

Delta girls basketball hit the road to take on Blackford and took down the Bruins 56-14. No stats could be found.

Daleville girls' basketball traveled for a road contest against Southern Wells and eked out a victory 46-40. 

Cowan girls' basketball hit the hardwood in a home matchup against Eastern. The Blackhawks earned a narrow victory 36-34. Leading the black and yellow was senior Elizabeth Sizemore with 15 points. 

Wes-Del girls basketball went on the road to face off against the Indiana School for the Deaf 46-25. Warriors sophomore Caroline Caward led with 14 points.

Wednesday (Jan. 8) 

No results could be found.

Thursday (Jan. 9)

The Delaware County wrestling tournament took place at Daleville High School, with teams from Delta (261), Yorktown (244), Cowan (148), Wes-Del (128), Daleville (63), and Wapahani (33) competing. The Eagles won the tournament, winning their fourth Delaware County championship in a row.  

Friday (Jan. 10)

Daleville boys basketball hosted county rival Cowan in a matchup the Broncos would win 64-22. The Blackhawks were led by sophomore Brody Clifford with 10 points. No stats could be found for Daleville.

Cowan girls' basketball hit the road to face off against Daleville. The Broncos would take down the Blackhawks 58-21. No stats could be found.

Muncie Central boys basketball took on Lafayette Jefferson in a home matchup with the Bronchos. The Bearcats fell 53-37 in the contest. No stats could be found.

Wes-Del and Daleville girls' wrestling competed at the Alexandria regional. Two wrestlers for the Warriors, Paislee Chambers and Sophia Gropp, each placed third, while Broncos sophomore Kynlie Keffer was crowned regional champion of her weight class. Each individual will advance to the IHSAA State Finals.

Saturday (Jan. 11)

Yorktown girls' basketball hit the court to take on HHC rival Shelbyville in a conference contest. The Tigers defeated the Golden Bears 60-40, and junior Lilly Sylvester led the green and white with 19 points.

Muncie Central boys basketball went on the road to clash with Noblesville. The purple and white fell to the Millers 63-23. No stats could be found.

Delta boys' basketball hosted HHC rival New Palestine but lost 56-69. No stats could be found.

Delta and Yorktown boys' Swim & Dive competed in the HHC meet. Delta placed 6th out of 8 teams with a score of 216. The Tigers placed third with a team score of 339. 

Wes-Del boys basketball hit the road to take on Tri-Central in a matchup the Warriors would win 58-50. No stats could be found.
