Fall Commencement is right around the corner, Dec. 14.

A media advisory released from Ball State University Dec. 9 confirmed First Lady Janet Holcomb, the wife of Indiana’s 51st Governor Eric Holcomb, will serve as the speaker at Ball State’s 2024 Fall Commencement ceremony.

The First Lady of Indiana earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in fine arts from Ball State.

The university will also bestow Gov. Holcomb with an honorary Doctor of Laws degree at the ceremony, “pending approval by the Ball State Board of Trustees in its Dec. 13 meeting,” according to the media advisory.
