Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, has died at 100, according to the Associated Press (AP).
Carter, the longest-lived American president, died Sunday, Dec. 29 after entering hospice care more than a year ago. He died in his home in his Georgia home where he and his wife Rosalynn had lived. Rosalynn died in Nov. 2023.
The former president "leveraged his ambitions with a keen intellect, deep religious faith and prodigious work ethic," according to AP.
