The Muncie Burris Owls vs the Mississinewa Indians

The second-to-last game of the regular season for the Owls and Indians.

MUNCIE, Ind. — Last night, the Muncie Burris Owls played the Mississinewa Indians at Home. Prior to the game, the Owls were 5-7, and the Indians were 12-2. This was the second-to-last game of the regular season for both teams. The score was 3-3, the first time both sides had seen a draw in the season.

Sydney Jackson, a junior forward from Muncie Burris, said, “This game is really going to set the tone going into sectionals for next week.”

Isidro Alvarado, Muncie Burris's head coach, said, “We are missing a couple of key players, and we are kind of down since we only have one sub, and that is making us vulnerable to anybody.”

The Owls take on Wapahani this Friday right back at home. Coming into this game after the tie from Mississinewa, the Owls are 5-7-1, while the Wapahani Raiders are 2-12 on the season thus far. This is an important game for both of them because it is the last regular-season game for both soccer organizations, and it will set the tone for the 2024 tournament.

The Indians take on Eastbrook this Saturday at Eastbrook's home field. Coming into this game after the tie against Burris, the Indians are 12-2-1, and the Eastbrook Panthers are 7-3-2. This is an important game for both teams because it is their last regular-season 2024 game.

For future reference, Muncie Burris will take on Union City next Wednesday at 8 o’clock, and The Indians will take on Yorktown next Wednesday at 6 o’clock.
